Potato pancake recipe details
Ingredients
1 ½ kg | potatoes, washed, peeled, grated |
2 medium | eggs |
1 tsp | salt |
3 tbsp | flour |
½ tsp | baking powder |
1 medium | onion, chopped |
salt and pepper, to taste | |
vegetable oil, for frying |
Instructions
Beat the eggs and mix with the grated potatoes and other ingredients, except the oil.Heat oil in a skillet over medium high heat and drop potato mixture by heaping tablespoons into oil. Use a spoon or a ladle flatten them out.
Fry to golden brown on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels and serve topped with applesauce.
