Ingredients
170 g | pork (shoulder), cubed |
1 | carrot, sliced |
40 g | bamboo sprouts, sliced |
4 | water chestnuts, sliced |
½ | onion, chopped |
40 g | broccoli, in florets |
1 cup(s) | cashew nuts, roasted and chopped |
5 tsp | sake or sherry |
½ tsp | salt |
½ tsp | pepper |
1 tsp | cornflour |
4 tbsp | peanut oil |
2 tbsp | soy sauce |
1 tsp | sugar |
Instructions
In a bowl, mix together the sake, salt, pepper, cornflour and toss the pork in the mixture.
In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the meat and fry over medium heat turning frequently until done and browned all around. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Heat in the pan another 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the carrot, bamboo sprouts, water chestnuts, broccoli and onion. Sauté for 5 minutes. Return the pork and add the soy sauce and sugar. Cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat.
Sprinkle with the cashew nuts and serve with rice.
