Pork in green sauce recipe details
Shredded pork mixed in chili verde, served in tacos, burritos, or just by itself as the main course.

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 pork sholder roast or rump roast
- 1 packet Lipton(R) Onion Soup Mix
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 jalapeno peppers
- 6 tomatillos
- 1 lime
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 6 hours1. In a slow cooker, combine the stock, pork roast, and onion soup mix. Set in high for 6 to 8 hours. Meat should shred easily with a fork. Drain and return to slow cooker.
2. In a large saucepan, bring to boil enough water to cover the onion, garlic, jalapenos, and tomatillos. Boil onion, garlic, jalapeno, and tomatiillos for 5 minutes. Drain and add to blender. Add the juice or the lime, salt and pepper to taste. Blend until smooth.
3. Add the Chili Verde to the crock pot and serve with white rice and tortillas. Can also be used in tacos, or served in a flour tortilla as a burrito with beans and rice.
