Pork and sauerkraut casserole with rice recipe details
Ingredients
750 g | pork, diced |
250 g | smoked bacon, diced |
2 | smoked sausages, sliced |
3 | hard boiled eggs, sliced |
2 | onions, chopped |
500 g | sauerkraut |
300 g | rice |
1 tbsp | paprika powder |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
1 pinch(es) | sugar |
½ l | sour cream |
2 tbsp | butter |
Instructions
Cook the rice in salted water until nearly done.In a large pan, melt the butter and fry the pork, bacon, onions and sausages over medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Add a glass of water, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
In a large casserole dish layer in turn the sauerkraut, meat mixture, eggs and rice. Season each layer with paprika powder, sugar, salt and pepper and sprinkle with sour cream. The last layer should be sauerkraut and sour cream.
Bake in the oven at 180°C for approximately 30 minutes.
