Polenta sandwiches recipe details
Ingredients
polenta, see database | |
¼ tsp | olive oil |
2 medium | plum tomatoes |
100 g | Brie cheese, sliced |
16 leaves | basil |
toothpicks |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C. Slice polenta into slices about 1 cm thick.Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Sauté polenta slices for about 2-4 minutes on each side until light brown. Remove to paper towel to drain.
Place tomato slices, Brie slices, and basil leaves on one polenta slice and then top with a second one. Secure with wooden toothpicks to keep sandwich together.
Place on baking sheet and bake for 7-8 minutes until cheese melts and sandwiches are hot.
