Poached guavas recipe details
Ingredients
375 ml | white sugar |
375 ml | water |
3 stalks | cinnamon, each 3cm long |
5 | whole cloves |
8 | guavas, peeled |
Instructions
Dissolve the sugar in the water with the cinnamon and cloves. Boil for 10 minutes until a syrup forms.Add the whole guavas to the syrup and poach gently for 10 minutes until pink.
Serve guavas with evaporated milk (traditionally), I prefer them with vanilla ice cream.
