Ingredients
1 | fish, snapper (about 1 kg) |
some | lime juice |
salt | |
500 ml | vegetables of your choice |
250 ml | ginger, in very thin strips |
1 tbsp | yellow fermented beans |
1 tbsp | oyster sauce |
lettuce leaves, to garnish |
Instructions
For this dish, you’ll need a steam pot. It can be replaced by a big pot, in which you place a bowl. The plate with the fish goes on top of the bowl.Clean the fish, rub with salt and lime juice. Arrange lettuce leaves on a plate (which fits into your steam pot) and put fish on top.
Mix yellow beans with oyster sauce.
Clean and cut all vegetables into bite-sized pieces. You can use whatever you like, spring onions, long red and yellow and green chilli or bell pepper, mushrooms, celery, spinach or Chinese broccoli.
Heat a steam pot with a lot of water. When the water is boiling, add the fish, cover and steam for about 10 minutes. Add vegetables, ginger and the sauce, steam for about 5 more minutes and serve.
