Penne with tomatoes recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | pasta, Penne |
450 g | crushed tomatoes, canned |
100 ml | heavy cream |
200 g | peas, frozen |
200 g | button mushrooms, sliced (fresh or canned) |
4 slice(s) | cooked ham |
1 small | onion |
some | salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano |
some | butter |
Instructions
Boil pasta in plenty of water until “al dente”.Finely dice the onion.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and add onions. Cook until almost transparent. Add mushrooms and ham and cook for another two minutes. When onions are transparent, add tomatoes and cream and bring to a boil.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano to taste. Add the peas and let them warm through.
Variation:
Drain Pasta and in a big bowl mix the pasta with the sauce. Serve immediately. As a variation, place pasta and sauce mix into a baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake until cheese is melted.
