- Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chunky peanut butter
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine (room temperature)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 12 ounces (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Have cookie sheets handy.
Mix flour and baking soda. Beat peanut butter, butter, sugars, and vanilla with electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in eggs. With mixer on low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture, just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute before removing to rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered.
Makes: about 100 cookies (about 50 if dropped by rounded tablespoonfuls).
