Pasta with chestnut sauce recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | chestnuts |
500 g | pasta |
200 ml | cream |
1 | apple |
1 | large onion |
salt and pepper to taste |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 170°C.With a sharp knife score a little cross into the skin of each chestnut. Bake the chestnuts for about 20 minutes in the oven, then peel.
Cook the pasta until al dente.
Chop the onion and peel, core and dice the apple. Chop the chestnuts. In a saucepan combine the chestnuts with onions, apple and cream, add a dash of water and bring to the boil. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Drain the cooked pasta and serve with the sauce.
