Panch phora potatoes recipe details
Ingredients
18 small | potatoes, e. g. Kipfler |
4 tbsp | vegetable oil |
For the spice mix: | |
1 tbsp | fenugreek seeds |
1 tbsp | nigella seeds |
1 tbsp | fennel seeds |
1 tbsp | cumin seeds |
1 tbsp | brown mustard seeds |
Instructions
Brush the potatoes under water and cook them in boiling water partially.Dry and halve the potatoes lenghtwise.
Heat the oil in a big pan and fry the seeds for about 30 seconds.
Add and fry the potatoes until they are crispy brown and the seeds are stuck to them.
Serve immediatly.
Tip:
Peel big potatoes, boil partially and cut into cubes before frying.
