Pancakes with lemon topping recipe details
I usually make them at the weekends when having breakfast with the family.

Ingredients
Makes: 10 pancakes- 1/2 lb (about 1 3/4 cups) plain, all-purpose flour
- 8 1/2 oz (a little over 1 cup) low-fat milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- pinch salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp honey
- Pinch nutmeg
- maple syrup
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. Take a dish and mix milk, oil and eggs by using a whisk.
2. Take another dish and mix flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt and the sugar.
3. Whisk the content of both dishes together. Take a third dish, add sour creme, 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey, the lemon zest, and a pinch of nutmeg and whisk it.
4. Put the butter in a skillet and melt it (medium heat).
5. For each pancake, drop (about) 2 tbsp of dough into the skillet. Continue until you have used all the batter.
6. Turn the pancakes when you can see little bubbles at the surface.
7. Place the pancakes on the plates, sprinkle with maple syrup and add some of the lemon topping.Serving suggestion
One can substitute the lemon zest using orange zests. You can add some lemon juice to the topping which will make it more fluid.
