Ingredients
250 g | chickpea flour (gram flour) |
250 ml | water |
½ tsp | salt |
¼ tsp | chili powder |
some | ground cumin, if you like |
carrots | |
potatoes | |
eggplants | |
onion | |
zucchini |
Instructions
Mix the flour with the water and the seasoning until well combined. Cut the vegetables into slices approximately 5mm thick and turn in the batter. Fry in hot oil until golden.Note:
The vegetables are just suggestions. You can use this batter for anything, even fish or shrimp.
Variation:
Grate the vegetables and mix them with the batter. Fry batches in hot oil; this will become a Bahji.
