Oven pot roast recipe details
Ingredients
2 kg | rump roast |
50 g | butter |
50 g | flour |
400 ml | onion soup mix or beef broth |
120 ml | dry white wine |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 170°C.Place the flour in a bowl, season with salt and pepper and dredge the rump roast in the flour and cover evenly.
Melt the butter in a large pot and brown the roast on all sides. Place in a large casserole dish with lid.
In a small bowl, combine the soup mix or beef broth and white wine. Pour over roast.
Cover and bake in preheated oven for about 3 hours.
