Oriental batter fish recipe details
Ingredients1. 2 lb fresh fish (shrimp, halibut, or scallops)
2. Peanut oil
For Batter
1. 1/2 cup corn flour
2. 1/4 cup cornstarch
3. 1/2 tsp Garlic Paste
4. Salt to taste
5. 2 Egg white
6. Milk
For Marinade
1. 1 tsp fresh Ginger
2. 2 Tbsp Sherry
3. 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
4. 1 Tbsp Honey
Method of preparation
1. To prepare the marinade take a large bowl. Put honey, lemon juice, sherry and grated ginger in it. Blend using a blender. Marinate the fish for 20 minutes.
2. Now take another bowl and mix eggs, salt, garlic paste, flour and cornstarch, add milk to make a smooth batter. Dip the fish strips in the batter and fry till light brown.
Serve hot.
