Orange Honey Cinnamon Oven French Toast recipe

- 1/2 cup margarine, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 6 eggs (or use Egg-beatersegg substitute)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 16 slices whole wheat bread
- 2 oranges, sliced
Instructions:
In mixing bowl, combine margarine, honey, and 2 teaspoons cinnamon; mix well. Pour mixture into 2 ungreased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pans. In another bowl, beat eggs slightly. Add milk, orange juice, sugar, orange peel, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; mix well. Dip bread in egg mixture and place on margarine mixture in pans. Pour any remaining egg mixture over bread. (Note:At this point, bread can be covered and refrigerated overnight.)
In morning, uncover and bake. To bake, place in a 400-degree oven for 10 minutes. Flip slices with spatula and bake 10 more minutes or until golden brown. Arrange on serving platter with orange slices.
Makes: 16 slices.
