Orange and apple cake recipe details
Ingredients
For the dough: | |
300 g | flour |
50 g | corn starch |
1 packet(s) | baking powder |
250 g | sugar |
2 tsp | vanilla extract |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
6 | eggs |
250 g | soft butter |
2 tbsp | milk |
Furthermore: | |
75 ml | apple juice |
50 ml | calvados |
75 ml | orange juice |
50 ml | orange liqueur |
To garnish: | |
1 | apple |
lemon juice | |
1 | orange |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C.>Sieve the flour with the corn starch and the baking powder into a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix with a hand blender until smooth.
Divide the dough on a greased baking tray, flatten and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes.
Immediately after the baking time, mark the middle of the cake. Mix the apple juice and the Calvados and , with help of a pastry brush, soak half of the cake with the mixture. Then mix the orange juice and the orange liqueur and soak the other half of the cake.
Fillet the orange and cut the apple in thin slices. Turn the apple slices in lemon juice. Garnish the cake on the orange liqueur side with the orange fillets and with apple slices on the other side.
