Onion and wine sauce recipe details
Ingredients
1 tsp | olive oil |
3 medium | onions, sliced |
1 tsp | dill |
1 tsp | caraway seeds |
240 ml | beef broth |
240 ml | dry red wine |
1 tbsp | cornstarch or flour |
Instructions
Sauté the onions together with the dill and caraway seeds in the oil in a medium saucepan until tender, uncovered, 5 minutes. Then cover and cook 5 minutes.Add the stock and wine and simmer 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat, stir in the cornstarch or flour, return to the heat, stir until thickened.
Use on your favourite steak, chicken or turkey.
