Old fashioned lemon pie recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 5 Tablespoons heavy cream
- Juice and grated rind of 2 lemons
From an old friend who lived on a ranch adjoining Cindy and mother Veriena when Cindy was growing up. Afternoon dessert with this dear friend under huge live oak trees was always a treat. Use No-Fail Crust.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and cream, then lemon juice/rind. Bake in pastry-lined pans for 20 to 30 minutes.
