Okanagan plum and apple crisp recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 6 medium Fuji apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
- 3 red plums (pitted and cut into chunks)
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
Combine the flour with the salt, 1/2 the sugar, and 1/2 the cinnamon (or nutmeg). Cut in butter until crumbly. Set aside.
Combine fruit with the remaining sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Put mixture into a lightly greased 9-inch baking pan or dish. Sprinkle reserved crumb topping over fruit. Bake at 350 degrees until top is golden and fruit is tender, approximately 50 to 60 minutes.
