- Ingredients
- 2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted and cooled
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Combine oats and buttermilk for about 15 minutes. Add eggs and butter. Stir well. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir gently. Cook on a medium hot grill. I use a 1/4-cup measuring cup to ladle onto the grill. Perfect size every time. Serve with maple syrup.
