Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups flour
- 2-1/2 cups oatmeal (not instant)
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350. Cream the butter with the brown and white sugar in a mixer (it’s too hard to do by hand). Add the vanilla, milk, and eggs, beating until light and fluffy. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder to the creamed mixture and beat to combine. Add oatmeal. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop dough in about 1″-across amounts 1-1/2″ apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake for 12 minutes. Let sit on sheets a minute, then remove to cooling racks.
