Mushroom bourbon sauce recipe details
Ingredients
2 tbsp | olive oil |
500 g | mushrooms, diced |
4 | shallots, sliced |
120 ml | dry white wine |
240 ml | chicken broth |
120 ml | double cream |
60 ml | Bourbon whisky |
Instructions
Sauté shallots and mushrooms in olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until mushrooms are browned and shallots are tender, about 10 minutes.Add the wine and boil down until the liquid is reduced, about 4 minutes. Add the chicken broth, cream, and whisky. Simmer until the sauce thickens, about 12 minutes.
