Mountain apple salad details
- Ingredients
- 3 large McIntosh apples
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup dates, chopped
- 3 Tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 Tablespoon mayonnaise
- 2 Tablespoons sweetened whipped cream
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Wash apples; remove seeds and dice (do not peel). In a medium-sized bowl, combine apples, celery, dates, and orange juice. Blend well to coat evenly. In a separate bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, and whipped cream. Pour over apple mixture and blend until thoroughly mixed. Chill for several hours. Add nuts just before serving.
