Ingredients – Cake
2 cups plain flour
2 eggs
1 cup hot brewed coffee
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
Ingredients – Java Frosting:
3 cups powdered sugar
3 Tablespoons hot coffee
3 Tablespoons cocoa
3 Tablespoons butter, softened
3 Tablespoons Kahlua or 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:

This cake travels well and is especially good served warm.

Cake: Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and baking powder; add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased and floured 8 x 10-inch pan or two round 8-inch pans. Batter will be thin. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake tests done.

Java Frosting:Mix to spreading consistency, adding small amounts of coffee or sugar as needed.
