Mexican tomato sauce recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | passata (tomato sauce) |
3 | spring onions, chopped |
1 | dried chili pasilla (black chili), seeded and chopped |
1 large | red chili banana pepper, chopped |
salt, to taste |
Instructions
In a bowl pour 120ml of boiling water over the dried peppers and allow to soak for 15 minutes. Drain and catch the liquid.Transfer the soaked chili peppers into a saucepan, add all the other ingredients and bring to a boil. If too thick, stir in a little of the pepper water. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Adjust seasoning.
