Merv’s one man micro omelette recipe
Merv’s One-Man Micro Omelette recipe⚠ Note: for metric to imperial (or vice-versa) conversion please refer to our article on Cooking Measurements 101.
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons milk or cream
- 1 Tablespoon mushrooms, chopped
- Salt & pepper, garlic salt, seasoned salt, ginger, or thyme (to taste)
- Toasted bread (I prefer whole kernel rye)
Moisten small bowl. Combine eggs, milk or cream, seasonings, and mushrooms in bowl. Place bowl in microwave oven on medium for 2 minutes; take out and redistribute mixture. Put back in for 2 minutes on medium or 1 minute on high for fluffy effect.
Remove omelette from bowl and put onto toasted bread. Choose shape of bowl to match shape of bread. Garnish with watercress or a sprig of herb, e.g., sweet marjoram.
