Meat on a stick recipe details
This is a Popsicle(R) for grown men. An easy appetizer for your tailgating or man cave party.

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cup crushed cornflakes
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped green pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 pound ground pork
- 3/4 pound ground veal
- 12 wooden flat sticks, such as Popsicle(R) sticks
- Canola oil, for frying
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 30 mins1. In a mixing bowl, whisk 1 egg gently. Then stir in 1/2 cup cornflakes, 1/4 cup milk, green pepper, salt, pork, and veal.
2. Make meat sticks with the mixture, firmly pressing 1/4 cup of the meat around each wooden stick.
3. Preheat a 1/4-inch layer of oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F and preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
4. In a clean bowl, combine the last egg and 1/4 cup remaining milk. In a shallow pie pan, pour the remaining 2 cups of crushed cornflakes. Dredge the meat in cornflakes, then egg, then cornflakes again.
5. Fry batches of meat sticks in hot oil for about 2 minutes each, flipping once, to crisp and brown slightly. Drain, then place on baking sheet.
6. Bake for 20 minutes, until meat is cooked through (juices will run clear). Serve.
