Bacon and leek tart recipe details
|150 g||curd cheese|
|salt and freshly ground black pepper|
|200 g||bacon, diced|
|125 g||leek, sliced|
|125 g||sour cream|
|50 g||freshly grated Cheddar cheese|
InstructionsIn a bowl, combine the curd cheese with butter, flour and a good pinch of salt. Knead until the pastry is smooth and pliable. Wrap with cling film and allow to cool for ˝ an hour.
Roast the bacon in a pan until crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside. Heat the oil and sauté the onions and the leek until lucent. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Return the bacon, take from heat and stir in the cream and the eggs.
Roll out the pastry. Sprinkle a buttered tart form with flour and line the form with the pastry. Prick the bottom with a fork for several times and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Divide the bacon mixture on the pastry and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
