Meat and Potato Pie recipe

Ingredients
750 g | beef, diced |
2 ½ kg | potatoes, peeled, diced |
2 tbsp | English mustard |
1 tbsp | Marmite |
350 ml | gravy |
500 g | puff pastry |
1 medium | egg |
Instructions
Put the beef, mustard, marmite and gravy in a casserole dish and mix well.Cook potatoes until soft. Drain and leave to cool.
Put the casserole dish in the oven and cook the meat for about 45 minutes until the meat is tender. Use a dish about (22×26 cm) and put the potatoes and the meat inside. Mix until even.
Take the puff pasry and roll out to the size of the dish. Lay over the top of the dish and press down the edges. Cut off excess pastry.
Beat the egg in a cup and use a pastry brush and brush the top of the pie cover with the egg.
Put in the oven and bake at 180°C for 40 minutes.
