Maura's cardamom pound cake recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1 pound butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1-1/2 cup brown sugar
- vanilla
- 5 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 1 cup milk
- Streusel:
- brown sugar
- chopped walnuts
- cardamom
Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time until incorporated. Sift together flour, cardamom, and baking powder; add alternately with milk to the egg mixture, starting and ending with flour.
Layer batter with streusel in a buttered and floured bundt pan (batter, streusel, batter, streusel, batter). bake at 350 degrees for about 1-1/2 hours.
