Ingredients

  1. Chicken – 1 kg
  2. Ginger/garlic paste – 2 tsp
  3. Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder (haldi) – ½ tsp
  5. Salt – to taste
  6. Green chilies – 6 (chopped)
  7. Tomatoes – ½ kg
  8. Onion – 1 (chopped)
  9. Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  10. Cumin seeds (zeera) – ½ tsp
  11. Oil – 2 tbsp
  12. Coriander leaves (hara dhania) – 1tbsp (chopped)
  13. Lemon – for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Peel tomatoes and mash.
  2. Boil chicken and shred
  3. Heat oil in a wok (karahi) and fry onion till golden
  4. Add ginger/garlic paste, red chilies, turmeric, salt, cumin seeds and coriander. Fry.
  5. Once masala is fried, add mashed tomatoes, salt and shredded chicken.
  6. Mix thoroughly. Fry
  7. Remove from the flame when oil surfaces
  8. Take out in a dish. Sprinkle with fresh coriander and green chillies
  9. Garnish with lemon and serve
