Ingredients
1 clove(s) | garlic, crushed |
1 | red onion, chopped |
1 can(s) | tomatoes (400g can) |
1 can(s) | Borlotti beans |
olive oil | |
salt and pepper |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat olive oil and fry garlic and onion until soft, but not browned.In a blender, combine the tomatoes with the juice, half of the beans and the onion and garlic and process until almost smooth. Return into the pan. Add 250 ml water and the remaining beans and bring to a boil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve with warm wholemeal bread.
