Lemon cream dessert recipe details
Ingredients
3 medium | eggs, whites and yolks separated |
1 envelope(s) | gelatin |
60 ml | water |
50 g | sugar |
3 tbsp | sugar |
60 ml | lemon juice |
2 tsp | finely grated lemon zest |
300 ml | whipping cream |
1 tsp | confectioners’ sugar |
Instructions
Combine gelatin and water in a small saucepan and place into a larger saucepan filled with water. Stir over medium heat until dissolved. Remove from heat but leave in skillet.Beat egg yolks with the sugar until thick. Stir in dissolved gelatin, lemon juice, and lemon peel.
Whip cream in a large bowl until stiff. Fold cream into the egg-lemon mixture.
In another bowl, beat egg whites until frothy. Add 3 tablespoons sugar and beat until stiff.
Fold egg whites into lemon mixture and mix well to combine.
Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours.
