Lemon chess pie recipe details
- Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1-1/2 cups Karocorn syrup
- 1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 lemons
- 2 Tablespoons melted butter
- 1 unbaked 10-inch pie shell
Beat eggs well. Beat in corn syrup. Mix the sugar and cornstarch together. Add to egg mixture. Grate rind of one lemon. Juice both lemons and stir in rind and juice into egg mixture. Add the melted butter. Beat until well mixed. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake 35 minutes longer or until set.
