Layered apple cake recipe details
Ingredients
Apple mix: | |
6 | apples, peeled, cored, sliced |
2 tsp | cinnamon |
60 g | sugar |
For the Batter: | |
450 g | flour |
4 tsp | baking powder |
600 g | sugar |
6 large | eggs |
350 ml | olive oil |
80 ml | orange juice |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 150°C.Apples:
Combine apples, cinnamon and 60 g of sugar sugar. Mix well and set aside.
Batter:
Mix together the flour, baking powder and remaining sugar. Add eggs, oil and orange juice. Beat until smooth and blended.
Layered cake:
Grease tube pan and spoon a third of the batter into the pan. Spoon 1/2 of the apples over the batter, then top with another 1/3 of the batter, then the remaining apples. Top with the remaining batter.
Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
