Koettbullar recipe details
Ingredients
800 g | minced meat, beef and pork |
60 g | breadcrumbs |
60 ml | cream |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
butter | |
2 tsp | oil |
1 | onion, chopped |
1 | egg |
1 tsp | garlic, chopped |
¼ tsp | freshly grated nutmeg |
1 pinch(es) | ground allspice |
Instructions
Soak the breadcrumbs in cream. In a pan heat a small knob of butter and sauté the onions until lucent.Place the meat, onions, garlic, breadcrumbs and cream, egg and all the seasoning into a bowl and knead until well combined. Check seasoning and correct if necessary. If you don’t want to taste the raw mixture, fry a small amount to check.
Shape to meatballs, approximately the size of golfballs.
Heat a knob of butter and the oil in a frying pan, place the meatballs in the pan and let them brown on all sides. Shake the frying pan often.
Serve with boiled potatoes and lingonberry jam.
