Jam tarts recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | flour, all-purpose |
230 g | butter |
1 | egg yolk |
2 tbsp | honey or sugar |
120 ml | ice cold water |
1 tsp | grated lemon rind |
1 jar(s) | jam, preferred flavour |
Instructions
Cut butter into little pieces (marble size). In a bowl mix together with the flour. Make a well in the middle and add sweetener, egg yolk, water and lemon rind. Then combine all ingredients until you have a soft dough.Place dough on floured surface and knead lightly together. Roll dough into a ball, and chill in the fridge for half an hour.
Roll dough to 1cm thickness, and cut into squares.
Put a tablespoonful of jam in the centre of each square, fold into a triangle and seal the edges.
Place tarts on oiled cookie sheets and bake in preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes. Serve warm or cooled.
