Ingredients
1 | onion |
500 g | minced meat, lamb or beef |
2 tsp | curry powder |
200 g | peas, frozen, thawed |
1 can(s) | coconut milk |
1 tsp | sugar |
1 tsp | currypaste |
1 medium | red chili pepper, seeded and chopped |
lemon juice | |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Chop the onion and knead together with the minced meat and curry powder. Season with salt and pepper and shape the mixture to little balls.Pour about 5 tablespoons of the coconut milk into a bowl and set aside.
In a saucepan, bring the remaining coconut milk to a boil. Add the meatballs, cover and cook for about 5 minutes over low heat. Add the peas and chili pepper and simmer for another 5 minutes. Mix in the reserved coconut milk and season to taste with salt, sugar, curry paste and lemon juice.
Serve with rice.
