Hot fudge sauce recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 4 to 5 ounces evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Dash of salt
Melt chocolate and butter in saucepan. Add sugar and cocoa and stir until mixed. Gradually stir in milk; bring to just below a boil, remove from heat and add vanilla and dash of salt. For thicker sauce, use a bit less milk.
I buy 12-ounce cans of evaporated milk, using a third of the can (4 ounces) for a batch of sauce, and freeze the remaining 8 ounces in 4-ounce portions for later use.
