Homemade cold vanilla sauce for pancakes and waffles recipe details
Ingredients
¼ l | milk |
250 g | whipping cream |
100 g | sugar |
2 | vanilla pods, scratched out pulp only |
4 | egg yolks |
Instructions
Bring the milk with cream, sugar and vanilla pulp to a boil.In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Slowly whisk in the milk mixture. Pour into the saucepan again and cook stirring over low heat until thickened.
Strain the sauce through a sieve into a jar. Cover and allow to cool. When cold, place into the fridge until required. Before serving, stir with a wire whisk.
