Homemade Coconut Cream recipe
Ingredients
100 g | freshly grated coconut |
1 l | double cream |
water |
Instructions
Place grated coconut in a saucepan and cream and a bit of water to cover. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring often. Remove from heat, cover, and let cool to room temperature.
Place a sieve over a large bowl and line it with a double layer of cheesecloth. Pour the soaked coconut with its liquid into the lined strainer. Pull the edges of the cloth together and squeeze out the coconut cream.
Use within 5 days. Store refrigerated.
