
Holiday bourbon bread
Holiday Bourbon Bread recipe
- Ingredients:
- 3 cup flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup oil
- 5 ounce canned fruit mix covered in bourbon for 1 hour
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1-1/2 teaspoons orange flavoring
- Glaze:
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup powder sugar
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1/2 bourbon
Instructions:
Combine first 10 ingredients in the order given and mix well. Bake in 2 greased and floured pans at 350 degrees for approximately 60 minutes (test for doneness with toothpick). Mix glaze ingredients; bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour glaze over bread immediately after pulled from oven.
