An Asian-inspired twist on the classic meatloaf recipe.

Ingredients

Serves: 8
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet Roasted Garlic onion soup mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chinese Five-spice powder
  • 3/4 cups finely crushed (saltine) cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup Hoisin sauce

Preparation method

Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 1 hour

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 5×9 inch loaf pan.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly the first nine ingredients and shape into a loaf. Cover the loaf with the Hoisin sauce.
3. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour – or until juices are clear.
