Ingredients

170 g hazelnuts, ground
300 ml mascarpone cheese
400 ml hazelnut ice cream
500 ml whipping cream
50 g confectioners’ sugar
60 ml Frangelico hazelnut liqueur, optional
whipped cream, for garnish
chocolate syrup, for garnish

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.

In another bowl mix the mascarpone, hazelnut ice cream, sugar and 2 tablespoons hazelnut liqueur to stiff peaks. Add the hazelnuts and mix again.

Combine both mixtures and then pour mixture into a big enough dish.

Freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight.

To serve cut into dessert size portions and decorate with chocolate or hazelnut syrup and a dollop of cream.
