Grilled prawns with star fruit recipe details
Ingredients
16 large | king prawns, heads and shells intact |
50 g | sugar |
60 ml | fish sauce |
1 tbsp | vegetable oil |
2 stalk(s) | lemon grass, root ends trimmed and finely ground |
1 | star fruit, thinly sliced |
Instructions
With a sharp knife, make a cut through the prawn shells along the back. Devein, leaving the shells intact. Rinse the prawns and pat dry.In a bowl, mix together the fish sauce and the sugar, until the sugar is dissolved. Add the oil, lemon grass and prawns. Cover and allow to steep in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
Place the marinated prawns on a grill and cook until the prawns turn pink.
Place the grilled prawns on serving plates, garnish with the star fruit slices and serve with fresh bread.
