Growing up, this was the one dish we always looked forward to. We only had it twice a year, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Before Grandma passed away, she gave us the recipe. Enjoy.

Ingredients
Serves: 10- 1 1/2 cups white long grain rice
- 3 cups water
- 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans Campbells(R) cream of chicken soup
- 2 (12 ounce) packages Farmer John(R) link sausage (not hot or maple)
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 (12 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 1 hour1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a 9×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In the baking dish, put the rice, water and cream of chicken soup. Mix well.
3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown link sausages until fully cooked through; cut each link sausage into bite-size pieces and set aside.
4. Cook onion in sausage drippings. Drain onions to remove grease, then add sausage and onion to rest of ingredients. mix well.
5. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not over-cook.
6. Remove and top with cheese, then put back in oven 5 more minutes until cheese is melted.
