Grandma's oh boy waffles recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 2-1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-1/2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2-1/4 cups milk
Sift dry ingredients. Melt butter and shortening together. Beat eggs and milk together, then add melted butter/shortening mixture and beat. Add to dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Batter should be fairly thin; if necessary, add more milk. Bake in waffle iron.
Yield: approximately 7 or 8 round waffles
