Grandma m's apple cake recipe details
- Ingredients
- 4 cups finely diced apples
- 2 cups chopped walnuts
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
This is a very old family favorite, and I take the recipe with me whenever I serve this at a holiday party or pot luck. This cake is so moist and keeps well for several days.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients well and pour into a buttered bundt pan. Bake approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Each oven is different, so test for doneness beginning at the 1 hour timer. Garnish completely cooled cake with sprinkles of confectioners’ sugar. Enjoy!
