Glazed figs recipe details
Ingredients
24 | dried figs |
1 l | cold water |
60 ml | cider vinegar |
1 tsp | whole cloves |
240 ml | brandy |
1 tbsp | corn syrup |
24 | browned almonds |
Instructions
Place figs and water in a saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook on a simmer for about 25 minutes. Add cider vinegar, cloves, brandy and corn syrup. Stir gently.Cover and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool in syrup. Take figs out from syrup mixture and insert toasted almond in each fig before serving.
